I am floating away on the spring breeze. ;)

 

Today I am using two more of the PINQUE PEACOCK New Release Items
from the hop this past weekend, the Summer colors for the
Layered Garden Beauties and flatback fabric covered buttons...
aren't they pretty? I love the colors! Right up my pallet so to speak.

The butterfly is a new die I bought at the convention a
few weeks ago, I used aluminum foil! Yup, that's right.

Howdy Folks!!!...

Hope everyone is doing well today... My fellow DT

Sister Nuper is celebrating her blog's ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY,

Down The Memory Lane, with a celebration!!! I was so honored

she asked me to join in the fun!!!... To celebrate I have

created a Tag using mulberry flowers and leaves, a lace

doilie, a ribbon flower, a vintage button that I got from

my dear friend Christine. I also added vintage laces, pearl trim...

along with metal charms also from Christine.... BUT, the show

stopper is the GORGEOUS Pearl Stick Pin from

Pinque Peacock's "Sweet Neopolitian" collection...

which is one of my favs!!! The tag itself my Mother-In-Law

shared with me as well as the vintage style stamped image.

Unfortunalely, I don't know who its by... I just knew I had

to stamp some tags with it so I could have it for future

use...lol!! The sentiment is from the Fiskars

"Friends Forever Quotes" collection... I LOVE THESE STAMPS!!!

I did a technique, that Charlie Jones demonstrated on her
Youtube using UTEE and distressing ink (I used vintage photo
by Tim Holtz on this). To finish it off I spritzed it with strardust finishing
spray by amuse studio! The tag itself was inspired by one I

seen created by Angela Holt... and since this tag was

inspired, has many shared products and I was asked by

Nuper, a sweet friend to be a part of her celebration, it had

to have a theme of friendship... hence the sentiment! Because

friendship is all about sharing, caring and inspiring... I hope

PINQUE PEACOCK proudly introduces our May Guest DT,

Miriam Meserve... owner of Miriam's Crafting Supplies

For a while now I have been wanting to transform

a dress form into a garden, of sorts. Jessica gave

me the opportunity to do this and work with

Pinque Peacock products as a Guest DT, and

there was no way I was going to pass that up!

When I work with their products I always like

to make things that I'm not going to be giving

away because I hate giving them up.

 

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥



 

 

I took a Darice paper mache dress form and colored

as much as I could get to of it with Old Olive color

 Stampin' Spot from Stampin' Up. I took two strips

of natural burlap and wound them around the form,

then in between them and extending farther down the

form I added a line of actual vintage trim that I got

 from a local closeout shop. I also added a line of pearl

 trim on the edge of one of the strips of burlap.

      Then, the real fun began. I pulled out all my

 Pinque Peacock products as well as some vintage

buttons from my grandmother as well as items from my

store; Miriam's Crafting Supplies and my stash. Since I

wasn't laying the felt poppers down flat and their

back was exposed I used a flat back fabric covered

button on the back of one and some vintage buttons

on the other. I used some more fabric covered buttons

in the center of some homemade flowers out of lace

and fabric and gave her a “necklace” of mulberry

paper flowers. I placed two flower metal embellishments

and one “flat” one on her and bent them to fit her shape.

On her back, I used a Pinque Peacock Layerd Garden Beauty

flower on which I placed a 7mm flat back pearl in order to

make it blend it with the color scheme a bit more

 and some sticker bling from Recollections that a

friend RAKed me. I used four lengths of beading

chain and made some dangles with charms on the

end. As a bit of extra sparkle I added Stickles to

the metal embellishments, charms and to the felt poppers.

      The dress form was inspired by a project made

by Angela Holt and the dangles from a project by

Virginia “Dare” Burnett. I learned the basic method for

making the fabric flowers on Heather Bailey's blog.

I LOVE MASON JARS...lol!!!...
I decided to make one and add an ADORABLE
3/4 Eyelet Button to a cutsie tutsie Felt Popper (small) and
then attached it to the front of the invite... and BAM!!!...
It went together perfectly!!!

No, really. I'm on vacation in Barcelona...coming back

inspired directly from all the rich culture of Spain.

Today I have a fun easel card to share with you

spotlighting Pinque Peacock products... a

Layered Garden Beauty and two Beaded Stick Pins.

 

 

This is such a fun image, I printed two... one on white

paper and one on the polka dot paper. I then cut

out her shirt, the frosting on the cupcake and the bows on the gifts.
