Hello everyone, Kimberly here with todays posting. Today I have for you a cute card I made combining two of my favorite business...
Pinque Peacock and Sherri Baldy Stamps.

I used a Sherri Baldy Stamps digital image and colored it with my brand new Prisma Colored Pencils. After I colored her, I blended her with Gamsol to give her the fun look. I love the pastel colors and always tend to gravitate in that direction when I color.

I love the raining hearts under the daisy, and decided I wanted them to stick out a little bit so I colored them using my glitter gel pens.

I embellished my card using 3 Girls Jam Ribbon, a denim button and a beautiful pearl stick pin from Pinque Peacock.

Thank you for taking the time to stop in and visit my blog.
I always love to read your comments.

TUTORIAL: Zipper Flower... by PINQUETTE Lisa

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

We are delighted to bring you a Tutorial Post
from our lovely PINQUETTE Lisa!

Hi there everyone! Pinquette Lisa here today with a tutorial for you all to try! I love flowers. I love paper flowers, fabric flowers, silk flowers, flower flowers, and all concepts and deviations in between! I admit that is strange since I'm not such a pastel pink girly girl…but hey, us hard edge girls need flowers too! Today, I decided to show you how to make….zipper flowers using a Pinque Peacock accent.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

First, what you will need is a zipper. Any length zipper will do, but the smaller the zipper, the smaller the flower or the more you will have to piece together. Also, keep in mind that most zippers these days are plastic. To get a metal zipper, either in silver or bronze, you will need to buy a heavy duty zipper (jackets, sleeping bags, etc.) These come in few colors…black, white, beige, brown. To get more colorful flowers, you will need to buy plastic zippers (which offer less contrast) or buy white heavy duty and die them.

For my supplies, I used: one side of a 22" heavy duty black zipper, 1" card stock circle, fishing line, heavy duty needle (in addition, a hot glue gun during assembly.)

First, unzip the zipper. Then using scissors, some that are already dull, none of which are your go to, "I love these scissors, scissors" trim both ends of the zipper off, moving the end tabs and the zipper unit. For gathered fabric flowers, I prefer fishing line or stretchable jewelry string….if you prefer thread, be sure to use heavy duty upholstery thread. I generally use this u-shaped heavy duty needle, but you can use any heavy duty needle with which you feel comfortable. Tie a good, slip-proof knot in the beginning end of the zipper.

I generally use a 1/4" -1'2" running stitch. If you make the stitch more irregular, the more character and personality your flower will have. Run the stitch the entire length of the zipper. Begin to gather by pulling the thread taught beginning with the knotted end of the zipper. Use hot glue to secure the gathered area to your base (card stock for paper crafts, felt if you are intending to use the flower for a pin or hairpiece.

Gather and glue down one half circle at a time.
When you reach the end, glue the finishing end under the flower.
I attached a Pinque Peacock button to give it a contrasting center.
These are low profile enough to use on cards, journals, mixed media craft,
pins, hairpieces, etc. I love how this turned out and I hope you do too!

Our sweet PINQUETTE Mary
is here today!!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Good morning my fellow Pinquettes, Pinquette Mary here as a Guest Designer
with a very special card to share with you today and of course I have a wonderful
way to embellish a card with the Angel Stick pin from Pinque Peacock.
We have some Anniversaries as well as Birthdays coming up in the next few months so I thought I'd get a head start. Our oldest son and his wife will be celebrating their 12th Anniversary this year so I thought I better make them a card. This year I am bound and determined to make something beautiful challenging myself to use just scraps and supplies that are just hanging around.
Here is where I started:

First, I had a few blank cards I had cut a long time ago with a cut file from Diane Payne Campbell aka Capadiadesigns.com. She is a genius at making her own cut backgrounds. I also found a scrap cardstock, stickers and an Angel Stick pin. This is what I created:

Okay so I found another piece of scrap paper that matched the velum quote perfectly.
I also had this great epoxy sticker that also went beautifully. I know they are going to love this.
If you want to learn more about this card and also a funny story about the wedding
then be sure to visit my blog For The Love of Art

Be sure to visit the Pinque Peacock Store HERE where you can pick up these
great stick pins as well as other amazing products.

Lovely PINQUETTE An'Jenic
is here today!!!

Good Morning Craty Friends!!
Welcome to another Pinque Peacock DT Post!!!
Today I'm sharing a cool altered tablet!!!

I pick this tablet up the dollar store a few months ago. I've used it a few times and the top cover ripped apart. So I thought I would recreate the cover. This tablet is for me to keep all my prayer request in from family, friends and church members. The papers is an old Target paper I picked up when I lived in VA. I used sequins from Guterman and the key is from Recollections. I add some beautiful flowers is from Wild Orchid Crafts. All the dies cuts and stamps is from My Creative Time. The beautiful paper doily is from Miriam's Crafting Supplies. Now this is the part you all have been waiting for... lol okay had to do that. I used Pinque Peacock Pearl Beaded Stick Pin. I also used Pinque Peacock Discount Hut: Felt Heart and Charms: Heart and Angel. For the felt heart I end up cutting it down the middle. I thought it would be nice to show a broken heart and how prayer can heal things. Its was apart of my first thought. I later decide I wanted my heart to be whole. So I distress each piece and glued them together. Which I think turned out to be amazing. Now you can see how it highlighted the center of my heart. I also used pink twine from Webster Pages.

This is my favorite PP project of the month!!

I'm also including some close up.
I love this so much I thought it would be nice to see them everything.
Pinque Peacock Beaded Stick Pin is a perfect addition!

I love the add pink glitter key, charms and prayer sentiment.

The frame heart is perfect with the doily and vellum tag.

That's all I have for you all this week,,, until next time....
Happy Crafting,
An'Jenic
