Altered Purse Box ~ by Pinquette Kimberly P.

How are all of our Pretty Little Peacocks Today?

PINQUETTE Kimberly Pate
has created a spectacular
Altered Art project
for you to Gaze Upon!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Good Morning to all of my Blogger Friends!!!!  I am so happy and so excited to say I am one of the newest members of the Pinque Peacock Family.  It is such an honor to join a very talented group of peacocks.

I am mostly a card maker, with an occasional scrapbook page thrown into the mix, however, today, I decided I was going to crawl way out of my comfort zone and try something different.

I have made an Altered Purse Box, and I had a blast doing so.  I bought my box at Michael's for $3.00 and painted it with Rich Expresso Metallic paint.  I used paper from the Colorbook Rosewood Stack.

I first did the inside, thinking I would glue the lid open, however, after I got started, I decided that I would rather close the box and use it for trinkets or maybe some costume jewelry. So I also decorated the outside to match, but added some paper roses in blue and white.

Here is my project:

Thank you Pinquette Kimberly, your altered purse box is wonderful.

PINQUETTE Marji Reineke Franklin
has a wonderful project for us today that is just SEW perfect!!

I'm honored to share with you my first project using Pinque Peacock
stick pins. These beaded stick pins are just gorgeous,
I had a hard time deciding which ones to get.

This card is one of my current favorites, Cheryl from Creative
Kuts designed it at my request. It's super cute!! I added 3 of the
pins to the card... so this card is a gift and a card in one envelope.
The recipient can remove the pins and the twine to use on their
own projects.  Thanks so much for stopping by,
I hope you enjoy my project.

Thank you Pinquette Marji, your card is stunning!!!

~Birthday Surprise~ by Pinquette Janet

How are all of our Pretty Little Peacocks Today?
Today we have a
BEAUTIFUL Birthday Card brought to us by
PINQUETTE JANET ROYER
 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Happy Tuesday!! Today I have a birthday card, although it's
belated.., for Jessica(Pinque Peacock) and fellow DT sister Teresa
Kaufold who share a birthday! I used a purple cardstock from
Amuse products, which I love because it's white on the reverse side,
so no need to put another piece to write your note on in.. I added some
twine around the white card on the front, stamped Happy Birthday
then added a bouquet of poppers/felt flowers from Pinque Peacock.
The leaves were from a Chocolate Rose I got for Valentine's Day, and
while it was delicious, I knew I saved those leaves for a reason! Added
a stick pin from Pinque Peacock and it looks like you could just take
it off the card and wear it! So glad you stopped by today and hope
you'll check out the Pinque Peacock group over at Facebook!
Always fun!! Hope Jessica and Teresa's birthday was just
wonderful and here's to many more!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Thank you Janet, your lovely card is wonderful!!!
Be sure to visit Janet at her blog Janet's Creative World!!!
Thank You Pinquette Janet

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Janet, I would like to offer a gracious Thank You for
such a wonderful Birthday Card.  It is truly lovely and
all the colors are so Peacock-a-liscious!

♥ Love & Hugs ♥

~*OUT OF THE BOX*~ by Pinquestte Lisa

How are all of our Pretty Little Peacocks Today?

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I am pleased to present to you
our next DT Project
created by
Pinquette Lisa Woodward

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Hello All! I am SOOOO Happy to do my first post as a Pinquette!
Today, I stepped out of my comfort zone. We all have to do that now and again.
Normally, outside of my comfort zone is with pastels…but today, I offer something
a bit different. I had a lovely chat with my Mother-in-Law…how many times can a girl say
THAT in her life, right? Well, I have the BEST Mother in Law in the world!
My mom past away 10 years ago, and my MIL, whom I have had for 6 years, has
stepped right in that place, and not only welcomed me into her family….but made
me feel like it was MY family.  The hubs and my first vacation was a trip to
Durango, Colorado, my in-laws have a place there. While it is mostly known for skiing
in the winter, the locals, us and my in-laws, know it for it's Fourth of July
festivities. We trek up the mountain, to about 10,000 ft. to a little town called Silverton.
For those of you who have heard of my business….SimplySilverton-a soap and
paperworks company….YES, that is the same Silverton we are named for.
Such a lovely place, such a simple place….such a place that makes you glad to live
in the good ole' U…S…of ….A.They have one heck of a 4th of July celebration,
and for some reason, that always comes to mind when I think of Pat
(my wonderful, awesomesauce, mother in law!).

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

So, I used some fantastical buttons by Pinque Peacock!
These were custom buttons that Jessica, in all her awesomesauce glory,
created for me….so if you want a specific thing…or don't know what you want,
let her creative brain do the work!…. Today, I chose to take the denim and red corduroy
covered buttons, and create a bracelet and earring set! I paired them with vintage red
crystals (circa 1920) and blue mercury glass beads to create an awesome Americana set!
I used Sterling jewelry backings to adhere the buttons to, and linked them with sterling links,
along with a bar/loop closure. The earrings are both denim buttons, with three dangles of the
mercury and crystal (circa 1920s) beads. This reminds me of something my mother-in-law
would wear to the 4th festivities in Silverton…..BUT WAIT! Would you like to win these?
This entire set COULD BE YOURS! All you have to do is follow my personal blog
My Crafty Spaces and comment on my post there with "Enter me to win this!" and
you will be entered to win a duplicate of this amazing set! WOOT WOOT…a post and a prize….what could be better? Thanks for joining today, and look forward to more of
our awesome creations using Pinque Peacock products!

"Enjoy the Journey" ~ by Donna K. Baes

How are all of our Pretty Little Peacocks Today?

Enjoy the Journey

Donna K here from Created by Donna K with today's post.
My very first post as an official "Pinquette"

I chose to make a card for this particular "first post"occasion because....
I love to make cards and I LOVE to celebrate.
"Enjoy the Journey" is the perfect sentiment for this occasion.
This is a new journey for me and also a reminder to enjoy every minute.

For this card I chose a 5 1/2" X 5 1/2" card base. The base is corrugated and super chunky.
I layered, embossed, textured and placed my papers off center to give it a vintage feel.

I love lots of embellishments on my cards when I'm feeling "vintage-y."
Notice the gold and aqua stick pin to the left of the clock?
My NEW FAVORITE embellishment...thank you very much Pinque Peacock!
{Find them ... Here }

I enjoy decorating the insides of my cards with coordinating papers. It is totally not necessary but I find it a fun surprise for most people when they open the card and the inside is pretty as well.
It also takes away from my shotty penmanship!

Thank you for letting me share today.

I hope you enjoy your journey as you get to know all of the new "Pinquettes"!

Be happy and Smile! ~Donna K

"Hi I'm Mary and am one of the newest Pinquettes!
Please go over to my blog and you can find out all about Me!!!
I love to share my projects, daily life and especially products that I love.
You can find me @

Kimberly Pate
Hey there, my name is Kimberly and I am very excited to be joining this very talented group of crafters. As we get to know one another, you will see that I am a card maker with a simplistic style, yet, I have a flair for vintage as well as a love of flowers. I also have a very simplistic style, thou, that is beginning to change the more I learn.
I have been a serious crafter now for two years, focusing mostly on card making. However, I do some scrapbooking, as well as some altered arts. I love reading crafting magazines and blogs to gain new ideas and learn new techniques. I have several Cricut machines, as well as thousands of SVG files to use in my creations. I also dabble with screen printing as well as letter pressing.
My husband and I recently made a nice move from Southeast Nebraska to wonderful Las Vegas, Nevada where a whole new world has opened up for us. In addition to crafting, I love to cook and bake, as well as garden (remember, I love flowers) not that I will be able to do a lot of gardening in the desert, but I do have some ideas floating around in my head. I am an avid sports fan when it comes to football, baseball, and hockey. In my spare time, (okay, so it is my job) I am on online instructor where I teach and help students build the foundation for a successful academic career. I also teach graphic design, web design, and other computer related courses.
Feel free to visit my Personal Blog at  http://scrappingrookie.blogspot.com

More fabulous talent has joined our wonderful group and we are delighted to start bringing you the awesome inspiration, creativity, and excitement you expect!!!
