Hello, Hello! It's so good to see you again.

Today, I have a project to share using the Pinque Peacock Crafty Kit which you can find HERE! Let me just say I am mostly a paper crafter, you know cards and scrapbooks. I also do an occasional deco mesh wreath. Well when I received the kit, I looked at all the wonderful goodies and then said "OMGoodness, what am I going to do with this?" LOL

Using the crafty kit, made me step out of my comfort zone and try something new.
Well take a look and let me know what you think!

Okay, so above is the sample kit I received. I didn't use all of the products and I did add some things out of my stash!

The finished product. I painted the entire box, then added some of the pink tissue at the top and bottom of the box using Mod Podge. I added the pretty paper that came in the kit in the center. I absolutely feel in love with these little metal corners (I don't know what they are really called) as soon as I saw them. From my stash, I added the bling which by the way was clear and I kinda went over them with a brown sharpie. The three larger paper roses are also from my stash as are the two GORGEOUS Pinque Peacock stick pins. Yep there are two, the green beaded stick pin and the tall gold one with that beautiful metal broach of sorts. ( I know I am terrible with names) Any how, I wrapped the stems of the smaller roses, which came with the kit, around the roses. The gold leaf and the bird cage charms were also part of the kit.

I painted the raised areas on the side of the book with some greenish blue paint to bring out more the blue in the paper that I used. I also pained along the entire edge of the book to tie in the blue paint.

As, I said above, I painted the entire book with the yellow paint that was included in the kit, yep the inside of the box too.

I used the gold tissue that was included in the kit as gilded pages. Ok, so you have to use your imagination to get the idea. But most really old books have that. LOL

All and all I was pleased with the results of my project today.
I hope I was able to inspire you to step out of your comfort zone and try something new.
